Edible art by Denise Tassin

Remember those chalky little disks called Necco wafers that your grandma always had in her purse? well Denise Tassin does... and she's decided to make something of it. Her incredibly detailed miniature art talent is being showcased in San Francisco at Zinc Details gallery through October 31. Her subject matter is broad - including clown portraits, scientific illustrations and little landscapes. Quite enchanting.

These little candies come in 8 colors and make a fun medium for pen and ink enthusiasts. I for one think these are awesome! See more examples of her work here.
