Little Zahara may just be the luckiest little beyotch in lala land. Not only are her parents A-list movie stars, but the tyke gets to sport a little Valentino action in pre-pre-school! Angelina Jolie and Z were spotted out and about this week in NYC with matching mommy-n-me white Valentino handbags. TOO CUTE! This might even qualify for cute overload!!

I always assumed Louis Vuitton didn't sell their wares on the street corners in the big city... so far that rule of thumb as served me well. Or has it? I have to say I didn't do very good on this quiz! I'll be back, I have to go upstairs and scrutinize my handbag shelf in my closet. Something tells me there may be a fake Kate Spade or two lurking around from an impulsive ebay spree!

The rarest of celebrity spottings happened last week in Chicago as the entire Brangelina Jolie-Pitt brood (Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Maddox, Zahara, Pax and Shiloh Jolie-Pitt) was spotted in one place, at one time. Not since the addition of little Pax, have we seen the whole clan in one picture. This is quite an occasion, mark your calendars for the history books, folks. I have to admit, they are a pretty, pretty patchwork family. Long Live Brangelina!

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt stirred up the publicity wagon this week at the premiere of Angie's new movie, A Mighty Heart. The movie is about the freedom of speech that is imperative for a journalist to truly do his/her job. At the premiere, reporters were asked to sign a document prohibiting them to ask the power couple about their personal life.

I love irony. Angelina admitted to the fascist faux-pas on The Daily Show to Jon Stewart, explaining that her over-zealous handlers were just trying to protect her. Yeah, right.

I guess Angelina must have felt bad, because later that evening she gave a stranded paparazzi a ride. Plus Angie dished quite a bit on the red carpet after all. She admitted to wanting a family of children ranging between 7 and 14 in number. Watch out Mia... saint Angelina is comin' to getcha! She also confessed that her little black dress came with a little price tag... only $26! I suppose spending a lot of time with starving people in third world countries might make you bargain shop once in a while. Anyways, she looks lovely as usual.

In other Brangelina news, the newest to the Brangelina brood, Pax Thien J-P, has officially earned his birthright place on his mom's arm. That $26 dress showed off her newest tattoo of his birthplace coordinates. With 14 kids on the horizon, she better leave some room on that arm!  Source

I'm not exactly sure how accurate or up-to-date they may be, I do know the latitude/longitute tattoos of her children's birthplaces are not included... but it's some interesting reference material, nonetheless.  Angelina Jolie has made it official - and has added to her broadening brood one adorable little boy from Vietnam. She picked up a playmate for Maddox - evening out the kid count to 2 boys and 2 girls. 

The boy's name is Pax Thien Jolie, born in November 2003, according to the orphanage where he has lived. His name means Peaceful Sky – Pax is peace in Latin and Thien is sky in Vietnamese.

"Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my son," the Oscar-winning actress wrote in the visitors' book of the Tam Binh orphanage, according to Reuters. "I am sure he will miss your beautiful, caring staff as much as you will miss him."

Jolie's rep says she took custody of the child on Thursday in Vietnam. They will remain in the country for about a week while the child's American passport is processed, the rep says. Read more...

Pax has no idea how lucky he is.. he's not only going to lead a fabulous life, but he has a real family to call his own. I commend Angie and Brad for opening their homes and lives to adopt and accept needy children as their own. It takes special people to be good adoptive parents, and I think they understand the commitment and are building a beautiful family. They will make a kick-ass Benneton ad someday.

Just a funny note... I saw Mia Farrow on Bill Maher's HBO show last week talking about Angelina's latest adoption. She was asked if she felt competitive at all, and she replied that when Angie got up to her 10th child, she (Mia) would start thinking about adopting a few more. Funny.  

Meanwhile, a star is born back at home. Shiloh didn't want all the attention to be lost on her latest sibling - so she stepped in on the set of her daddy Brad Pitt's latest movie, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, when a much lesser-caliber baby couldn't keep it together to get through her scene. Baby Shiloh saved the day and did her daddy proud! Her big debut will be playing Cate Blanchett's character as a baby.

She definitely has her mommy and daddy's genes... acting is in her blood. Who wouldn't want to see that face on a 30-foot high screen? too cute! Source

 

While Brad is busy wrapping up the New Orleans leg of his new movie shooting schedule and getting back to L.A.,  Angelina was out trying on bad-ass baby carriers to help her lug around her growing brood. Just kidding! Almost looks believable though... I thought this illustration by galleryoftheabsurd was genius in light of the adoption angel's impending internation addition.

In an upcoming Newsweek issue - Angelina opens up about a recent trip to Darfur refugee camps - and the earth mother is thoughtful as usual. 

Do you worry about people who say this is celebrity tourism?  If someone had a direct criticism of my opinion on the issue, if someone had a direct criticism of the image shown because they think it hurts somebody then I will take that into consideration. But there are a lot of people that simply have an immediate gut reaction and they just don't want to combine artists with foreign policy. And hey, I understand. I get it. I know where you're coming from. And to each his own. … You know, I was more shy when I first went into a camp that other field officers would not want me there.

You were worried that you'd get in the way.  Yeah. That's why I brought no media, it's why I sat back. That's why I just helped them load things. And if I felt that I was ever getting in the way, I wouldn't do it. Because I do care about the opinion of the aid worker, I do care about the opinion of the refugee. I care less about the opinion of the person who's never been in the field but has an opinion about celebrity.

Do you still go with so few people? I can't believe you take no one with you…  I take no one.  I [go] by myself on a commercial plane and into the field with my backpack. 

You still do that?  Yes, I just did that on my last trip.  I met the photographer there.

In the camp?  No, in the airport. We didn't even realize we were on the same flight.  We landed at like midnight and got up at like 5 in the morning to catch the WFP [World Food Program] plane [to a town near the camp].

It's obvious Angelina takes her charitable work seriously and is sincere in her desire to help. This woman has three kids at home, looks ridiculously gorgeous and believes in doing global good. Can we say superwoman anyone? Read the entire Newsweek article here.

Brangelina have been busy as usual... jetsetting about the world, filming movies, taking the kids to school and adopting foreign orphans. Sounds just like a movie...

Well, this week, Brad Pitt brought his baby beauty, Shiloh, to the set of his movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Aren't they just the cuteness? Fatherhood certainly favors Brad - she looks a lot like him. It's hard to believe that Ang referred to her spawn as a 'blob' in a magazine article... but I'm sure everyone's taking it out of context. She has admitted to favoring her other kids because they've had more to overcome. Pic source

What a great segway I set myself up with! In Angelina Jolie news this week, Angelina has officially filed papers to adopt a 3-4 year old boy from Vietnam. I guess it's time that Maddox has someone to play with. The couple visited Vietnam last November together, but the papers filed were only in Angie's name to speed up the adoption.

4/5ths of the Jolie-Pitts were out and about trying to blend in to the New Orleans ambiance. This super cute pic of Zahara gettin' her munchies on with Shiloh looking on is just way too cute for words. Even though Zahara is not the genetically perfect celebrity spawn - she sure is darn cute - and her attitude shows all over her face. You know she takes after her momma's kick butt side of the family... come to think of it... she looks a little like Angelina. hmmm..

In other Jolie-Pitt news, Angelina's ex Billy Bob Thorton tells In Touch magazine that he and Angelina stay 'in touch' on an almost daily basis. Do you think Angie would allow Brad and Jen to talk on a daily basis??? I think not. This one smacks of rumor for sure - who has time to talk on the phone with three kids and the whole continent of Africa to take care of.

It's a solemn weekend for Angelina Jolie as her beloved mother, Marcheline Bertrand (56) has indeed passed away from a long struggle with cancer.

Bertrand died Saturday afternoon at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Jolie said in a news release. No age was provided. Jolie, her older brother, James Haven, and her boyfriend, Brad Pitt, were at the hospital Saturday, according to the news release.

Bertrand, who had small roles in the movies Lookin' to Get Out in 1982 and The Man Who Loved Women in 1983, raised Jolie and her brother after divorcing their father, Oscar-winning actor Jon Voight, when Jolie was a toddler.

I suppose now that her mother is gone... time will tell whether Angelina will reconcile with her estranged father. I'm sure the tight-knit Jolie-Pitt clan will get each other through this tough time... my condolences.  Source

Boy oh boy, has Banksy been in the news. The graffitiesque guerilla artist and prankster has been all over the news lately with his Paris Hilton CD prank and with his high-profile art show attracting the likes of ubercouple Brangelina. The dynamic duo was spotted at Banksy's LA show last week looking like the jetsetters they are. It seems that Angelina Jolie was smitten with some of his work including a bust with a bullet-hole to the brain, and she insisted on taking home a couple of souvenirs. I'm sure Brad was not allowed to resist.

Their $400,000 worth of purchases included the two paintings above and the previously mentioned bullet-ridden bust. I love the one of the happy white family living high on the hog amongst the starving tribal figures. I can see why Angie had to have that one! It's also nice to see that she has a sense of humor - or Brad does - who doesn't love a pie to the noggin? Who couldn't smile at that hanging over the ol' fireplace?

You would think Angelina has been in Hollywood long enough to know that you don't diss the Oprah. Oprah Winfrey reportedly asked Angelina Jolie to help her promote her new girl's school in Africa, assuming the international do-gooder would jump at the chance to help the girls. Well Oprah couldn't have been more wrong!

Seems Angie is still pissed that Oprah sided with Brad's ex Jennifer Aniston during the break-up/affair - and she's not interested in working with Oprah. Well Oprah feels the same way... she won't be asking for any more help from Angie....

I sure hope Angie never needs anything from the talk show queen... and I'm sure Oprah could tap Gwyneth Paltrow to help her out... I hear she's African herself!

• The first infant to ever been immortalized at Madaam Tussaud's wax museum was unveiled in New York this week - Shiloh Jolie-Pitt has been reproduced in silicone (not wax!). They recycled their statues of Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie and staged the whole happy family in an African nursery setting - little Shiloh looks spot on from the pictures. She's even wearing the groovy little tee from the People photo shoot. I can't help but wonder how bitter Maddox & Zahara will be when they realize they're not the chosen ones... bless their little hearts.
  
  
• Mr Simon Cowell has been a bad, bad boy. It seems like the critic with nothing nice to say has been steppin' out with 21-year old model Jasmine Lennar. The past six months they've been pretty hot and heavy...I'm not thinkin' his long-time girlfriend Terry Seymour is too happy that the two have been playing house every time she heads to their other home in L.A. Seems the sibs Randy and Tori are being treated equally, at least on paper, but Randy is still in mommy's good graces and stands to benefit well beyond his official "inheritence" - too bad for Tori. Maybe it's time for Tori to make that grandkid thing happen -- even Candy couldn't resist cuddly goodness? right?

Just Jared has posted a gallery of all of Angelina Jolie's tattoos - at various times and stages of conception. She has obviously had some removed and redone - she is definitely an evolving canvas. Tattoos are terribly addicting - and to those who succumb, they often become a chronicle of their life and times.

I don't remember seeing that black cross on any of her belly photos while she was pregnant. Perhaps that one's just for show? If not - I'm sure it's well on it's way to snapping back into place with the disciplined and defiant Miss Jolie's attitude towards life. Stretch marks be damned! See lots more pics

Angelina Jolie sought out the silver fox Anderson Cooper for her interview on 360 Tuesday night, also known as World Refugee Day. On Anderson's blog he dishes a little preview hinting that the two-hour interview with the self-deprecating, impressive Jolie was an open forum - "ask what you want" fest.

Tuesday is World Refugee Day. Angelina Jolie was interested in discussing the plight of refugees, so we sat down to talk about what she has seen and learned in refugee camps around the world. She had no movie to promote, no product she was pitching. In fact, I have no idea what her next movie is and we did not discuss any upcoming films. There were no ground rules. I was free to ask whatever I wanted.

For an "anything goes" type interview - it sounds like we'll be hearing about a lot more heartache (refugees) than heartthrob (Brad). Seems the hot attract the hotter in Hollywood. My favorite news anchor, Anderson Cooper, has scored the first stateside interview with Ms. Angelina Jolie set for Tuesday night on CNN's 360. Although the rumor is that the interview was part of the $4+ million deal with People Magazine - that may not be the case. According to Page Six, the Jolie-Pitts admire Anderson for his pro-Africa newsworthiness. Yea for Anderson - seems like his Cable One days spent roaming around the dark continent are finally paying off!
