Make some friends with Kool-aid!
Evidently the Monkees had a little time to monkey around with Mr. Kool-aid AND Bugs Bunny in this 1960s spot for the flavorful drink. You'd think they could have written a little catchier song, dontcha? I miss Mr. Kool-aid....
Kiss your thirst goodbye... with can, can, Canada dry!
The marketing department over at Canada Dry was obviously experimenting with a few of the trippier treats that were available at the time to produce this 2 and a half minute spot featuring Ann-Margret. She dances around in a variety of odd and mod outfits singing a song about being an expert about soft drinks. Kinda random... very 60s... very faboo, baby.
Mickey Mantle loves the OJ!
I didn't know your body couldn't store vitamin c! No wonder you're supposed to drink it every day. I suppose if I had been around in 1962 to see this sports spot with Mickey Mantle for Fresh Frozen Florida Orange Juice I would've known it. I love that the narrator gives us an exact preview of Mickey's testimonial. Watch it and see how he repeats the announcer's verbage verbatim. Great copywriting!
